Here's the sketch for this week over at the Stars and Stamps Blog:
And here's my interpretation:
The blue and apricot card stock is Stampin' Up, the red strip is Bazzill, the butterfly punch is Martha Stewart, and the gems, background stamp, and sentiment stamp are Hero Arts. I dry embossed the apricot paper and wet embossed (clear) the brocade blue. I popped the night of navy with dimensionals. I used some Aleene's tacky glue on one side of each of the butterflies.
I'll be making a few more of these. This color combination appeals to me, and I bought plenty of the blue and apricot at my last stamp club meeting. I think these will make terrific cards for the notes I write to my contacts for Operation Write Home. I need to solve the "bulky" problem first.
