Project #2

Here’s my second project for the retreat for new teachers. C.C. Griffin’s school colors are red, blue, and silver.

I used my Silhouette Cameo, paper punches, and a ton of glue to create these flowers.

I made a lot of them!

Project #1

I’m working on some projects for the middle school’s new teacher retreat. The first task is making place cards. No, I’m not a new teacher. I thought it’d be wise not to put a stranger’s name on my blog, so I made one for myself.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to print the shelves and names and to cut the white rectangles. This made doing multiples easy!

I added a few details to the apple and fern.

Stampin’ Up - soft suede card stock, old olive pen
Neenah - white card stock

Concessions

I’ve been working on some projects for C.C. Griffin Middle School. These are the fun kinds of things I never had time to do when I was teaching.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut enough letters, numbers, and punctuation marks for 5 signs. Baking tins keep all the little pieces organized.

Back to School

Today was the first day of teacher workdays for Cabarrus County Schools. C.C. Griffin Middle School's administration likes to give door prizes. That helps to make all the meetings bearable. Ha! I volunteered to make two sets of cards for prizes.

I loaded each of the tote bags with 12 cards, two each of six designs, and two ink pens. Yes, I used the Operation Write Home "tuck 2.0" for the cards and envelopes. Habit. Aren't those little totes cute? I picked them up at Hobby Lobby.

This afternoon, I got a message on Facebook from a friend who got one of the sets. Yay, Sheryl! I know she will use them!

Making Progress!

I'm making progress on my task for the anniversary celebration at Griffin Middle! I finished these badges on Sunday. These are for the staff members who have been there for ten years.

Yesterday, I got all the circles punched and the ribbons glued and cut for the other badges.

My friend Julie came over after school to help assemble. Thanks, Julie!

I'll let these sit over night to give the glue time to get dry. We used a liquid glue on the Gryphons, and of course, it oozes out a bit.

CCGMS 10 Year Celebration

It's amazing to think ten years have passed since we opened C. C. Griffin Middle. The school will be celebrating this Friday, and a teacher/friend asked if I could make some tags for the teachers and staff (past and present) to wear for the event. Well, of course I can!

Name that mascot!!

 I have lots!

I have my prototype tags completed, so now I have to get everything cut and punched and ready for assembly. Thank goodness for the Silhouette Cameo!

I'll keep you posted.
