Creative Chemistry 102, Day 4

We learned lots of new ways to use alcohol inks in day 4 of class. I kept it simple. Canning rings + rust alcohol ink + cinnamon stick + burlap ribbon = pumpkin.

1. Color 20 rings with alcohol ink. (Paint works for this, or just leave them as is.)
2. String the rings (all facing the same direction) on an orange ribbon. (Twine will work too.)
3. Tie the ribbon as tightly as possible, forming the circle.
4. Adjust rings as needed.
5. Stick a cinnamon stick in the center.
6. Fashion a “leaf” from burlap ribbon.

Creative Chemistry 102, Day 1

Lots of techniques were presented today in Online Card Classes' latest installment…Creative Chemistry 102. This class is a stretch for me. I like clean and simple. We'll see how I do.

I used Ranger's Picket Fence Distress Paint (white) for the resist technique.
