Last weekend, I was invited to a friend's vacation home on the New River in Virginia. Thanks, Wendy!! 6 friends enjoyed a weekend of crafty fun and fellowship and good eats!
I decided to prepare several kits to make cards for my contact notes. I write a note to each of my contacts and place them in the top of each box of cards from Operation Write Home. It's tough staying ahead, and I set a goal to make 100 cards.
Here are the kits I prepared ahead of time.
Next, I had to load all the stuff into my totes. I wanted to take only what I needed. It was still quite a load!
3 of us got a head start on the others, but we still managed to cover the kitchen island!
Cards done!
Final count? 101! These will get me through the next couple of months.
Maybe I need to get another invite to Villa Gorilla in June!! It's a great place to relax and play.
You were definitely a card making machine! I'm betting you could definitely get another invite.
ReplyDeleteThese are great Dixie! I bet you guys had a blast. It's always fun and a totally different experience to craft as a group. Tell me does Wendy have Magilla (Gorilla) as a pet at the Villa? :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards. I'd love to see a shot of each...to CASE of course. I am going to try the chair/living room set card for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like you had a blast. :)
It's great that you not only had a relaxing get-away, but you also got a lot accomplished with making all those fabby cards! WTG!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! Ya gonna do another weekend there so you can make me 100 cards too? lol :)
ReplyDeleteYAY for crafty weekends!!
Yes, Dixie, let's see a shot of each! What production! When I get together with friends, I only get about 5-6 done. I bow down to you!
