Make Your Own Patterned Paper!

I had a couple people ask about the "patterned paper" for my card on last weekend's blog hop. (See previous post.) Here are a few pictures of the process and a brief explanation.

These are the stamps and inks I used.

I used Versamark on the Hero Arts Antique Flower background stamp. This gave the Old Olive paper a bit of interest and kept it from looking "flat."

I used Stampin' Up's French Script stamp and Memento Tuxedo Black ink to create the first layer on the strip of Sahara Sand (SU) paper.

Here's a progression of samples. The stamp is Silhouette 6 by Impression Obsession. I used 3 SU inks, Mello Moss, Craft White, and Old Olive. The white requires a bit of drying time. Placement of the stamp was random, and many overlap.

  1. Thanks for explaining how you made the patterned paper on your lovely card. I think that I asked you about it as there's still so many techniques I need to learn.
