Sympathy

This week, two friends lost their dear grandmother, and another friend lost her mom. Sympathy cards are a necessity, and sometimes difficult to make. I used a design from Kristina Werner for these cards. I made a few extra to keep on hand. A kind note to friends can mean a lot. I know.

Neenah Solar White card stock
SU Old Olive ribbon
Sizzix embossing folder

I used my Silhouette to cut the words. The "Sympathy" is 2 layers to give it a little bulk on the card.

  2. Dixie, If you HAVE to make a sympathy card, this one is one of the nicest I've ever seen. Very classy and elegant. It's such a shame that these are a necessity, huh? I hope your friends weather the storm OK. Your card will surely make them feel a lot better and give them a feeling of comfort. Totally wonderful card.

  4. Dixie, the embossing is beautiful on your card and the embossed sentiment is so elegant. I hope your friends find comfort during this awful time. I know having such a good friend and your beautiful card will help. TFS

  6. Beautifully done Dixie. I love the subtlety of it. The clean look of the white-on-white is perfect and I like that you added the bit of depth to the wording. Nice too that you could easily swap ribbon colors as you used these.
