A Cut Above, Day 3

Day three? Make a shaped card. Well, all my cards are a shape, rectangles. (That's middle school teacher sarcasm.) I have been known to make square cards and round cards on occasion. Anyway, I dug through my Nestabilities, and found this set that's large enough to make a card.

Spellbinders nestabilities and label dies
Hero Arts "Starbursts" and sentiment
Stampendous detail white embossing powder
Ranger "Old Paper" distress ink
Memento tuxedo black ink
Pearls from my stash, colored with Copic R24

  1. Dixie, This looks beautiful. I love that shapee Nesti and your flowers with pearls are so pretty against your background color. Your sponging on your sentiment piece was done with perfection. Just lovely.

  2. What a good use for that huge die - I have never used mine at all but I will now. The banner is just perfect for that shape, too. Love the sarcasm, btw.

  3. LOL! You can lead a teacher to retirement, but you can't make her retire! This is a great shaped card. I love the embossed "starbursts". Makes me want to emboss something in white on kraft paper!

  4. Wow, this is really different! Good job on pulling away from the rectangles...... Don't ever lose your sarcasm, I'd miss it.
