A Cut Above, Part Two, Day 1

I'm on online class overload!! The second half of "A Cut Above" is all about using the Silhouette. I'm also taking Kerri Bradford's "Silhouette: Oh the Places You'll Go." Kerri's class is the second in a series and it's self-paced, so I think I'll put that one on the back burner for a while.

Today's "A Cut Above" class was an introduction to the machine, and it was a nice review. We also received several downloads from Ali Edwards to use on cards.

Gluing that flimsy piece of white paper was a challenge! Thank goodness for spray adhesive!

  2. I Love this!! I ended up using my Xyron, but think I may need to pick up some spray adhesive for these smaller letter! I find when I use glue, the glue marks show on my card and it ends up looking too shiny?

What type of spray adhesive did you use?

  3. Very nice. I bet it was tricky getting that part down, but it turned out very well.

  4. I just love this but I know I wouldn't have the patience to get it glued down. I haven't attempted spray adhesive in years because I always found it so messy. Maybe it's time to try again so I don;t have to avoid pieces like this. Beautiful work Dixie!

  6. Dixie, this reminds me of frosting on a chocolate cake! Love it. I've never tried spray adhesive.

  7. I love the simple look of this card. However, I can't imagine how difficult it was to get it adhered just so. Great job!
