I'm still playing with my Silhouette Cameo. Shari Carroll of Hero Arts shared a great tutorial for this card. Her video made it easy!
I grabbed some ancient My Mind's Eye patterned paper from my scrap box for this one. I love it when I can use paper from the stash, but I'm not real happy with the background colors. It's a first attempt, and I bet the next one I make will be better.
Clean and simple?
My Mind's Eye - patterned paper
Neenah - white card stock
Hero Arts - "Woodgrain Circle" and "Thoughtful Messages" stamps, "Pool" mid-tone shadow ink
Savvy Stamps "Large Dot Border" stamp
Fiscars cloud punch
SU - card stock
Great job! I think the background is good, but a darker color would make the sun pop a little more. I watched that same video, Shari does such a good job with her videos, so easy to understand.
ReplyDeleteThe round cards are very cool Dixie! Once I zoomed in on the card it was easy to see the layers. I think it's a matter of it being hard to perceive in the photo because the rays of the sun cross over the yellow in the patterned paper.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look simple to me at all! I like the very small rounded corners on the sentiment banner.
