I felt like I cheated on my first project for the third day of Stretch Your Stamps, so I did another. I used the Fiskars stamp press to arrange my letter stamps and stamped them twice with Pool ink to get a shadow effect. I used the same ink on the three background stamps to stamp the strips of Pool paper.
Studio Calico - "Noah Alphabet"
Hero Arts - "Stripes and Frame," "Graph," and "Zig Zag" background stamps
Hero Arts - pool layering paper and ink
Neenah - solar white card stock
love it - I should try this - I think I have an alphabet set. I got a couple cards made yesterday for class. It was fun.

That is awesome! Before I read your post, I was wondering how you did the shadow with Thanks. What a neat technique. And I would have never guessed the 3 strips of paper were stamped!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are really learning some cool things in this class. I never would have guess you papers were stamped. I love you shadowed letters. Great job as always Dixie!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you cheated on the other assignment but after seeing this, I'm glad you think so. I love the offset shadow of the double stamping.
ReplyDeleteLove the shadow you gave the word
ReplyDeleteDixie, Your card came out perfect. Great job on the shadowing. I need to get that stamp press real soon.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Fabulous! I love these techniques! Another GREAT way to use up cardstock "scrap" strips :) Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteNice card! I need to dig out some of my long neglected background stamps. Using them this way definitely breathes some new life into them.
