My Grandmother's Iron

I embossed lots of silver trees for my Christmas cards, and the paper was a bit warped after the process.

I stacked up the paper and used Nanny's iron to "press" them. Perfect.

  1. That's about all my iron is good for these days, too. Nanny's is a lot heavier than mine!

  2. I have an old iron that I use the same way. When it's not flattening something out, it's a lovely eclectic decoration...

  3. Can you imagine actually ironing with that?

  4. I use mine as a door stop. When do we get to see the cards???????

  5. I wish I had something like this to flatten warped cardstock! I put mine into a big heavy book and stack more books on top, but this is so much better and most likely way more effective too!
