Welcome to my post for Operation Write Home's Red Friday Bloghop! If you arrived here without starting at the beginning, you’ll want to click HERE to get to the top of the hop.
Sandy suggested we make a Valentine or a love card for the bloghop. I rummaged through my crafty area and collected all things "heart" and got busy! Long time OWHers will know the search was brief and yielded little. ; )
This card can be a Valentine or a love card. It'll have a longer shelf life since I didn't use the word "Valentine." I used Spellbinders' classic and scalloped hearts dies to frame my sentiment. The small heart dies are from Simon Says Stamp. That lovely sentiment is WPlus9's "Hand Lettered Hello" set, and it's embossed with Hero Arts embossing powder. For a little drama, the kraft card stock is layered with foam adhesive. It's a clean and simple card, my favorite.
Back in the day when I was the east coast shipper for OWH, I remember things slowed down in the winter months. Sending a few cards from your stash would be helpful. Just write "Operation Write Home" on the back of each card, tuck the back flap of each into an envelope, and send them to Sandy. If you're new to OWH, here's a helpful LINK with all the details.
Be sure to read the information on the Stars and Stamps post so you can send what’s needed. Make a hero’s day by giving them a beautiful creation for writing home!
What’s a bloghop without prizes? See this Stars and Stamps post for the list of goodies from the generous sponsors, and go link up your love card there, too! There are prizes for those who comment on the blogs and for folks who share their own creations!
The next stop on the hop is Jennifer McGuire. Thank you, Jennifer, for your support of Operation Write Home!
HUGE THANKS
to the sponsors of this bloghop!
Operation Write Home is a charity that sends blank handmade cards to service members deployed overseas. We’ve sent nearly 3 million cards! That’s a lot of cards and a lot of love heading home to those who are keeping the home fires burning.
