This card is for another challenge at StampNation. I'm still trying to catch up on all the challenges released on World Card Making Day on October 3. Our inspiration photos included damask from France.
I was also inspired by a card design from Jennifer McGuire on her blog yesterday. She stamped with water on distress ink. I tried that too, but mine looked like a hot mess. Instead, I used silver embossing on colored card stock, and the results are striking.
Hero Arts - Classic Fabric Design, Prayers (die and sentiment)
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Ranger - superfine silver embossing powder
Neenah - white card stock
Stampin' Up - card stock

Gorgeous - I love that background!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Dixie. I tried that technique before also and mine was a terrible mess also. We don't have Jennifer's touch I guess. LOL Enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful embossing job, Dixie!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness your embossing on this card is beautiful!! This card is so comforting with it's sentiment, colors, etc. Love this one!
