CASEing Christmas Day 7

This card is an engineering miracle. The gold thread almost got the best of me.

Photographing shiny paper is difficult. I need sunshine to get good pictures. I've heard a rumor we may see the sun tomorrow.

I stacked three of the branches to give a little bulk for hanging the ornaments, and coated the top with a white gel pen.

I masked the sides of the white panel before inking it with distress inks. It adds another "layer," and I like the sharp look it gives. Fun stuff.

Spellbinders - 2011 and 2010 Heirloom Ornaments
Impression Obsession - Bare Branch
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Hillside Borders
Simon Says Stamp - Be Joyful (sentiment)
Ranger- Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers inks, clear embossing powder
Neenah - white card stock
From my stash - red and gold shiny paper, gold thread
Signo - white gel pen
Versafine Onyx Black Ink

  2. That is beautiful. I'm glad you didn't let the gold thread win. It is very challenging to work with!

  3. So pretty! What's the bottom layer of card stock? It looks multi-colored. If it's a UFO, it's perfect. :)

    1. Um, never mind. I re-read the post and you inked the edges. I thought you were talking about the blue part. I might be tired.
