Birthday Hugs

I always need birthday cards, and this month's Stamp of Approval box has all the goodies to make lots of cards. I used a stencil, distress inks, and lots of masking to create this colorful background. Next I die cut 5, yes 5, of the two frames in the die set. I left the two frames attached for easy cutting, and glued each piece together to form a dimensional frame around the stenciled paper.

The layers of cake are stamped and topped with distress inked icing to match the background. The candle is tiny, and a challenge to piece together, but I prevailed!

Sugar Pea Designs - Birthday Journal Card Dies, Bring on the Cake stamps
Winnie & Walter - Harleen Creative Screenings (stencil)
CAS-ual Fridays - Young at Heart (sentiment)
Ranger Distress Inks - Peacock Feathers,  Cracked Pistachio,  Twisted Citron
Hero Arts - Grape Juice ink, white embossing powder
Lawn Fawn - Sugarplum ink
Simon Says Stamp - Hot Mama ink
Tsukineko - VersaMark ink
