Black and White Stripes

I love a clean and simple card, but clean and simple doesn't mean easy. Leaving the right amount of white space is always a struggle for me. I think this one works.

I searched a long time to find a vivid black and white striped paper. I finally just used my MISTI, Versafine black onyx ink, Simon Says Stamp's diagonal stripes background stamp, and clear embossing powder. It's bold, crisp, and it makes me happy. I noticed Carissa Wiley posted a video about this process. You can find it HERE. Like her, I do multiples while I have everything on my desk. Unlike her, I emboss with clear powder.

Carl - flower punch

Simon Says Stamp - Diagonal Stripes stamp, Thanks Scallop Border
Ellen Hutson - 100# white linen card stock

  1. I think you nailed it. I agree, clean and simple is not easy. It's hard for me to get comfortable with white space.
