I've eaten the pork, black-eyed peas, and collard greens to ensure good fortune for the coming year. Added to that, we had some cornbread and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious except for the greens. I just don't like greens.
Now it's time to start packing the Christmas decorations. I'm going to leave the patriotic kitchen tree up until Soldier Sam comes home. The first time he was deployed, it stayed up for 15 months! I've got one more cookie jar to remove.

(The "E" was a gift from my friends, Lisa and John. That's a whole other story!)
