I'm on my way to C. C. Griffin Middle! I have another class needing to do a little community service project! Here's what needs to be done:
- Huge cards - remove from envelopes and tuck the back flaps
- Weird envelopes - tuck flaps and sort by size
- Cards - stamp backs and tuck back flaps in envelopes
- Any Hero notes - write!
- Envelopes - tuck flaps
You can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you can't take the classroom out of the teacher. Think I'm giving too many directions on those boxes? Never!!
Let's see how much they can get done in 30 minutes! Update to come later!
Update!!
A big "Thank You" to Mrs. Troutman's 7th period science class! You all rock!!
This is my "weird envelope" group.
Tucking envelope flaps.
Writing a letter to a hero.
Making adjustments to huge cards and sorting them.
A former student of mine.
(This girl can play some frisbee golf!)
You go, girl!! I need you to come train a school near me...lol!!
ReplyDeleteBut on a good note, a Vietnam vet is coming to the cardmaking party in March and asked me to save all the cards that need stamped so he can do 'em. Gotta love that! lol :)
Awesome! I just received my box of 1,000 envelopes. Flap tucking is the hubby's contribution (along with quality control..."I think that's on crooked...etc." :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's often an thankless job, but so many are depending on and appreciating your efforts! You go girl! If I lived closer, I'd love to help you out!!
ReplyDeleteRock on, Dixie! I love that you're getting the fine young people at the school involved. So cool!
