Left Brained Kids

I was a bit concerned when I entered Mr. Cline's algebra class at C. C. Griffin Middle School last Thursday afternoon. These are some smart kids. These are some smart, left-brained kids. Left brained kids don't always do well with right brained activities. Card making is a right brained activity.

Fortunately, I had the foresight to create several cards at home the night before. I cut and stamped multiples of each card and put all the pieces for each card in a baggie. All they had to do was assemble the cards.

In addition to the cards, I had some envelopes that needed the flaps tucked and some card stock that needed to be scored and folded. They did it all!

The race is on!

This young lady on the right could tuck and read at the same time!

The final results!

This class assembled 68 cards, tucked the flaps of more than 1500 envelopes, and scored and folded more than 150 cards! Well done, Gryphons! Thank you!

  1. Well done indeed! And in a very short amount of time, correct? Very nice looking cards.

  2. I think it is so wonderful that these kids helped the cause! I teach middle school and I always have tons of kids asking to help when we are doing some kind of drive or stamping for a cause event. Well done!
