I've had the lattice stamp for weeks and have only used it once or twice. I love its symmetry. On this card, I used it to create a background with clear embossing powder. On the patterned paper, I used white embossing powder and then got busy with the fussy cutting. I hate fussy cutting.
It's time to start using fall colors for cards going to Operation Write Home. I think this one will work.
Teresa Collins - "World Traveler" 6x6 paper pad
MFT Die-namics - "Vertical Greetings"
Hero Arts/Studio Calico - "Lattice" background cling stamp
Hero Arts - embossing powders
SU - card stock
Very pretty, love how you used the stanp as a border over the entire background. very nice. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever embossed an image onto patterned paper. Wow! I'll have to add that to my to-do list because your card is so striking with the white embossing!
ReplyDeleteNicely done. Love the combination of the two pieces with the lattice pattern.
ReplyDeleteThis makes a very restful card. Good job on persistence with the fussy cutting! It was worth it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, thanks for sharing, I'm going to have to look out for that stamp now! Enjoy the class. C x

love how you used your background stamp two different ways on this one card. Looks so great.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you in class again, aren't they so fun!!
Great job Dixie! I love it. I would have never considered embossing over pattern paper either. But it turned out awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous. I was going to take that class, I guess I need to sign up soon. I hate fussy cutting, too, which is why I bought the Silhouette!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful! I love the colors, and the white embossing powder over the earth-toned patterned paper is just gorgeous! Fussy cutting can definitely be tedious, but it really paid off here. :) Love how you lined up the patterned strip with the background, too.. that's genius!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card, I love all of it! Great job fussy cutting... you're not alone, I hate it too. But you can't tell on this one - it looks fabulous. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThe fussy cutting was worth it; what a great masculine card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Dixie! I'm kinda glad your addicted to these online classes since I've decided I'll let you take them and then just crib the really good stuff from you. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is completely gorgeous! The fussy cutting is fantastic. Layers, trim--all perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis is one fantastic card Dixie! I LOVE that lattice stamp!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a fabulous card Dixie! I want to attend class with you!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card, can I join too? You might hate fussy cutting, but you do it well!
ReplyDeleteI'm taking this class, too. I've only done 2 cards for day 4. My order for Cut & Dry felt is holding me back for day 1, and ... I really have no excuses for the other days except Day Job and lack of mojo. I need to work on that.
ReplyDeleteLove all your projects so far!
