Pattern Play, Day 1

I'm taking another class from Online Card Classes. In my defense, when I was teaching middle school, I always said, "If you stop learning, you need to quit teaching." That's not why I retired. I retired because I had served my time. I think if I quit learning new tips and tricks and techniques in the card making world, it will be time to stop.

Today's lesson was "Basic Tips" for using patterned paper. Kristina, Jennifer, and Amber had loads of information to share. Amber is a new favorite blogger of mine. I like her style!

I made this for an Any Hero card for Operation Write Home.

I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the stars. A little resizing was all it took. I love that machine.

  7. HA! I saw your second post first. Great Minds Think Alike because I was going to CASE Jennifer's card using stars, too! Thanks for even more inspiration.

  8. Very nice. I think you've got the hang of this already! I am taking this class, too - I am awful with pairing up papers. I'm procrastinating about the homework, too, which is not a lot different than when I was in school :-)

  9. Gorgeous card! Someone gifted me the papers you used here, and as much as I like Authentique, I have never loved this set. The way you used them, though, makes me want to break it out and make a card right now! Thanks for the inspiration!
