I'm behind! There's just so much inspiration in this class. It's only a week long, and I think they packed two weeks of fun into one.
Laura Bassen was a guest designer for day two. She encouraged us to stamp on patterned paper. I learned my lesson last time I did this technique. I cut 4 panels in preparation hoping I could get one done correctly. I practiced on scrap paper too. I like the way this turned out.
Laura masked her greeting and peeled it away to show the pattern beneath. I have inferior masking paper, and the ink bled around the edges. My solution was to cut the "Hello" with the Silhouette and layer it on top.

Stampendous - Shapes Set

Your Part 2 creation is equally as good as part 1! I also enjoyed Laura as a guest teacher and loved her polished nail references / comments!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way that turned out! I think I need to add that Stampendous set to my wish list. Oddly enough, I do not have a solid stripe stamp. How can that be?
ReplyDeleteThis turned out great, Dixie! You are really good at CAS cards.
ReplyDeletegreat cards - I haven't made one yet - by the time I get home from work, get all the videos watched and some stuff done around the house - time to go to bed - I have lots of ideas

Love how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I think you improved upon Laura's pretty card...your sentiment has more "pop" and it is easier than fighting with the masking stuff. I have a lifetime supply roll somewhere in my stash that is more than a dozen years old and hasn't been used :)
ReplyDeleteDixie, This came out great and no one would have known you had some bleeding between layers as your very clever mind knew just what to do to hide it. I've signed up for this class the other day, now I have to play catch up. Enjoy your weekend.
