Online Card Classes has a new class, Stenciled. It’s a mini-class, and it’s chock full of techniques and good ideas.
I combined two of the techniques for my card. I inked the stars through the stencil and then colored over the ink with Inktense pencils.
I created a stencil for my card with my Silhouette Cameo. The flag border is a cut file from the Silhouette online store.
Hero Arts - Year Round Sentiments
Silhouette cut files
Ranger - distress inks
Derwent - Inktense pencils
Neenah - white card stock
Stampin’ Up - Cardstock, ink daubers, chevron embossing folder

Once again, I think your are an A+ student. I love this card, Dixie. Those little flags are a great touch and you did a fabulous job with your stencil work. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Looked like fun!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you were :-) I love this card and I think it's a great idea to cut a stencil using the Silhouette. That's one of those why-didn't-I-think-of-that things. But now that you have thought of it for me I can see lots of possibilities. Did you just use regular card stock for the stencil?
ReplyDeleteLove it! You totally rock that Silhouette. Mine is still in a box from moving. One day ... one day ...
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I just knew you'd be taking this class! ;-) I like the coloring over the inked stars.
ReplyDeletecute cards from the class - I like the flag banner on this card - great idea - thanks for sharing
