I loved teaching triangles. Equilateral, isosceles, scalene. Acute, obtuse, right. Fun stuff.
When I saw the new Hero Arts triangle background die, I knew I “needed” it, but I had no idea how I was going to use it! Big thanks to Laura Bassen on the Hero Arts Blog. She posted a terrific video using the die.
Here are two cards CASEd from Laura’s fabulous ideas.
Each triangle is glued individually with Tombo liquid glue.
Here’s a picture of the die with the mask I cut to help me glue the triangles. I got most of them on straight!
I used Post-it tape to attach the mask to a card base.
Lots of triangles left for more cards! Once the triangles are cut from all the colors, glueing them is fairly quick. Peeling the mask off can be a bit tricky.

You have the patience of a saint, Dixie! Before I read your description, I assumed you glued strips of colored paper to the back of the die cut and I thought that was too time-intensive. This is just amazing!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a stencil until I read your post and looked closer. Wow!! Very impressive...
ReplyDeleteSo, so, so fabulous! Love your beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteLaura's card is the same one that made me want that die, too. I love what you've done with it.
ReplyDeleteWozers...these cards are amazing! I am not sure I would have the patience. tfs!!!
ReplyDeletewhen I watched the video - I thought - patience - lots of patience - but I did buy a bottle of tombow glue beautiful job as always - off now to cruise through your blog

LOVE these. Must get this die!!!
ReplyDeleteNot sure I have the patience for all that gluing and alignment. I might have to try the Copic version instead. LOVE the result, though. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG. It's gorgeous, but there's no way I'd be able to sit through a project like that! Two rows and I'd be done!
