The Orange Flower

I needed a card to hold a gift card, and I wanted "fallish" flowers. This is the best I could do with what I had on hand.

The linen card stock from Ellen Hutson is fabulous. It gives just a little texture to the card, and it's hard to see it in the photo.

The black stripes! I love black stripes! A while back, I stamped several 6 by 6 sheets of paper with black pigment ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. Now I can just slice off what I need for a card.

My Favorite Things - Flashy Florals (stamps and dies)
Simon Says Stamp - Diagonal Stripes, color inks
Hero Arts - clear embossing powder
Tsukineko - VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
Ellen Hutson - 100# White Linen card stock
Neenah - 80# Solar White card stock

  1. That is a lovely fall-ish card. The flower is so pretty and I love those black stripes, too. I've done the same thing - stamped lots of them and cut them off as I need them.

  2. That's probably the prettiest gift card holder I've ever seen.
