Not every card has a stamp...

We've had a bit of snow and ice here in North Carolina this week, and I thought a snowflake card would be appropriate.

The patterned paper is from Scenic Route Paper Co., and it has some "distress" marks on it. I'd have liked it better without those marks for this card. The gems from Hero Arts and Memory Box give the card a little bling.

I punched the snowflakes using a Martha Stewart gigantic punch and 2 smaller punches and a snow edge punch from EK Success. The border punch for the green paper is from Fiscars. Here's a picture of the tools:

I'll use these cards (I made 15) for notes to the contacts for Operation Write Home. All but one, that is. One is for a birthday card for my cousin Joyce who is as old as me! Well, she's as old as me for the next 3 months when I'll get the call saying, "You're older than me!" in a sing-songy voice. Traditions.

  1. Like the card! Not colors I usually think of when I think of snow cards. But this totally works! Just the right amount of bling, too.

Traditions. What would we do without them?

  4. Can I interpret this lovely, snowy card design as a sign you want some more snow? I'll pack some up and ship it right away! :)
