Kick Start, Day 5

Day 5 of Kick Start Online Card Class was "Smart Shopping." Jennifer McGuire encouraged us to look at crafting items with a critical eye, and she gave us questions to ask ourselves before making a purchase. Kristina Werner showed us how to shop for ideas in a craft store without buying anything. I wish I could walk out of a craft store empty handed!!

I went "shopping" at Ellen Hutson, and found a set of cards and stamps from Hero Arts. You can see my inspiration product HERE.


I used eyelets!! I haven't used them in ages!

    Very nice card, Dixie. The eyelets are perfect for this application. I am really starting to love non-traditional shades of reds and greens and that share of blue in your background paper is just lovely. I know what you mean about coming out of anywhere empty handed. It just doesn't happen with me. Enjoy your week.

    That is absolutely brilliant how you used the eyelets! I'm enjoying the class as well and how to look elsewhere for ideas has been eye opening for me. Great job Dixie... :)

    Beautiful card Dixie and I too am trying to use up things I have or have a very watchful eye when shopping. Amazing what we can find in our craft room that we haven't used in a long time!
